Johnson's tie raises more than $1,000

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Jimmie Johnson Foundation online auctions ended the year on a high note with Jimmie Johnson's autographed tie from the 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series Awards Banquet in New York City selling for $1,025.00. The tie was part of The NASCAR Foundation's Red Carpet Charity Auction. Other recent highlights from the Jimmie Johnson Foundation eBay site included Jimmie's Nextel Cup Champion hat from Homestead-Miami Victory Lane selling for $1,608.83 and an autographed Awards Banquet table ticket selling for $403.98.

Final figures for the 2006 Jimmie Johnson Foundation eBay site are still being calculated and will be released soon.
