Special Paint Schemes Come Home
This spring, we aren’t just doing special paint schemes on the track. We’ve been working on a new paint scheme for my garage that includes a unique look for the floors, graphics for the walls, and full selection of Kobalt Tools and SKIL power tools.
I don’t get to spend nearly as much time in my own garage as I’d like. I have several projects underway, and like most people, I just can’t find the time to get around to finishing them. But I have high hopes that I can tackle them on one of the few days off we have this summer. Now that my garage looks great, my tools are organized and I know exactly where everything is for my project, I can get these projects done quickly.
I’ve been spending far more time working on our racecars this season than the projects in my garage. Our No. 48 Lowe’s car has a new design this year, and that makes it exciting. Add that to 11 races with the Kobalt Tools and a Tough Tools for Cool Schools paint scheme in Texas, and we have a great lineup for the NASCAR schedule.
Just like a new color of paint gets you excited for your home and changes your attitude about a room or area, so can a different paint scheme. The No. 48 Lowe’s crew always embraces new car designs as a motivator for the team.
The special paint schemes that support a good cause really motivate the team. We’ve run paint schemes over the years to show our support for the military, and that’s a great opportunity to recognize and honor the contributions they make.
I’m looking forward to the new paint scheme in my garage, and hope you’re looking forward to seeing our paint schemes throughout the year. I bet we’ll finish faster on the track than I do with the projects in my garage.
