A visit to the speedway's museum and Hall of Fame is a must for any race fan, while a revitalized downtown area provides a variety of restaurants and activities, including carriage rides. No visit to Indianapolis would be complete without dinner at St. Elmo Steak House and jazz at the Slippery Noodle. The Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens also are a favorite attraction.

And this tip from a Team Lowe's Racing member, the Soldiers Monument located in the center of downtown. Within the tower is a mini -museum and a look out tower at the top of the monument.
