Get Pumped Up!

The VMA’s may have produced some very *interesting* content, but we still love music. Many times, music has the ability to change our moods. This week, we asked the Lowe’s Racing crew what their “Pump Me Up” song was for when they were getting ready for an intense workout or for the race. Check out their answers below, and then let us know what your favorite song is to get pumped up!

  • Pete Michel (engineer) – “Enter Sandman” by Metallica
  • Dave Collins (tire changer) and Chad Kohn (backup hauler driver) – “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica
  • Ron Malec (car chief) and Earl Barban (spotter) – “Eye of the Tiger”
  • Austin Konetski (mechanic) – “You’re the Best” (the theme song from Karate Kid)
  • Lance Munksgrad (pit crew coach) – “Kick it in the Sticks” by Brantley Gilbert
  • Chris Krieg (pit crew coach) – “Remember Everything” by Five Finger Death Punch
  • John Boydston (engine tuner) – “This is Shangrila” by Mother Love Bone
  • Dave Elenz (engineer) – “I Gotta Feeling” by Black Eye Peas
  • Marius Hauser (engineer) – “The Final Countdown” by Europe
  • Greg Morin (pit crew coach) – “Numb Encore” by Linkin Park feat. Jay-Z
  • R.J. Barnette (front tire carrier) – don’t have one, but love my country music
  • Brandon Harder (gasman) – “Kryptonite” by Creed
  • Matt Tyrrell (tire carrier) – not big on the pump me up songs, more of an up-tempo country playlist…I’m pretty even-keeled.
  • TJ Ford (jack man) – Any Lupe Fiasco track (rap)
  • David Mayo (tire changer) – “Ambition” by Wale
  • Andrew Childers (backup jack man) – “Hell Yeah!” by Tiesto & Showtek
  • Ryan Patton (tire carrier) – depends on the day!
