Tonight, it was the Team Lowe's Racing pit crew who took the spotlight, as they won the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Pit Crew Challenge. The 48 crew was the number one seed based on a qualifying round earlier in the day, and had zero penalties on their way to the Championship. They faced the No. 11 crew in the finals for the second year in a row; however, this year they were able to come out on top. The No. 88 crew also represented Hendrick Motorsports well, making it to the semifinals.
As a result of winning the Challenge, Team Lowe's Racing receives the first choice in pit stall for Saturday night's NASCAR Sprint All-Star race, giving them a significant advantage heading in to the race.
