Jimmie Johnson ran in the top five all night in the Lowe’s Emerald Green Chevy on his way to a fourth-place finish at Darlington.

Jimmie Johnson survived a wild race under the lights at Richmond International Raceway on Saturday night. He came from the back of the field multiple times to finish 12th and extend his points lead.

“Friday and Saturday weren’t fun…but everybody worked real hard to get the cars right and we had a great race car today,” said Johnson, who finished third in Sunday's STP 400.

Jimmie Johnson finished a strong sixth Saturday night at Texas and increased his lead in the championship standings.

It didn't look promising for Jimmie Johnson, but he and Team 48 were able to salvage a 12th place finish and remain 3rd in points.
