How long have you been a fan?
Since I first watched a race in 2004.
How did your interest in racing start?
I've always loved racing, since I was a little kid, but I started with open wheel. I got hooked on NASCAR watching the Navy car in the Nationwide Series. One day I turned on a Sunday race, saw Jimmie Johnson beat Tony Stewart, and I've been hooked ever since.
Who was your favorite first driver?
Jimmie Johnson
Who is your favorite current driver?
Jimmie Johnson
If you had three hours to spend with your favorite driver, what would you do?
It would obviously be with Jimmie. I would go golfing with him, maybe nine holes. I'm not very good, but I would like to get to know Jimmie more, see what he likes and what the real Jimmie is like. I'm sure he's down to earth.
What is your most memorable moment in racing?
Watching Jimmie win the Daytona 500 and watching him win his first championship after so many close calls.
How many races do you attend each year?
One per year. I wish it was more, though.
What is your favorite track?
I've only been to Atlanta, so I love Atlanta!
If you worked in racing, what would you do?
I would love to be a crew chief. I think being a crew chief would be fun and stressful all at once, but I thrive on stressful situations.
If you were in charge of NASCAR, what would you change?
Double file restarts. I think it's a dumb rule. All it does is confuse spectators and create a higher risk of good teams being taken out by the field fillers. If they're not fast enough to be on the lead lap, why put them in the front?
